Its
summer in Michigan. One can tell by the hatch of orange cones, orange
barrels, detours, and heavy equipment working on the roads. On the
positive side, the end result of all that activity is smoother roads,
so I guess the benefit outweighs the inconvenience.
Its
also an election year, so all the roadside construction signs are
intermingled with political advertising signs. When politics aligns
itself with road construction, it's the one time we can actually see
the tax dollars, that we sent to those people whose names are on the
signs, being put to good use.
Now,
normally, I try to avoid political discussions, but I wanted you to
know that I am going to support the candidate most closely tied to
those road improvements. You see his orange signs all over near road
